TIP 1 - STOP CHARGING TO 100%
Maintaining a full charge is not the most efficient way to keep your battery strong. Letting your phone coast through the day between 30% - 80% is the most efficient. Go for more shorter and frequent bursts throughout the dayTIP 2 - DONT LET YOUR PHONE DIE You will probably notice your phone is annoyingly sluggish after it has been sitting in the sun. That is because batteries really hate extreme temperatures and have to work extra hard in high heat TIP 3 - OVERHEATING YOUR BATTERY Lithium ion batteries become volatile when they drop to low power. Every full charge wears down the battery ever so slightly TIP 4 - DONT LEAVE YOUR CASE ON WHILE CHARGING
If your phone feels too hot while plugged in, it is possible that the phone case might be trapping in the heat that's produced when charging TIP 5 - STORE YOUR OLD PHONE CHARGED
If you are saving your old phone for when you damage your new phone, make sure you store it in a cool place, roughly half charged. If you store it with no charge it will fall into whats known as a ‘deep discharge state’ which will make it less capable or holding charge in the futureTIP 6 - USING THE WRONG CHARGER Apple certified chargers are designed to cut power when the battery hits 100%, but cheap third party USB cords are not and may do some damage
TIP 7 - SWITCH OFF YOUR LOCATION TRACKING APPS TO SAVE BATTERYThere are a lot of different apps like facebook, google, etc that ask for privilege of accessing you locational data. The problem with this is it burns up your battery even faster when apps are constantly tracking your every move. Turn off the apps that don't really matter. TIP 8 - TURN OF PUSH MAIL TO SAVE BATTERY LIFE If your phone is set to push mail, it means your iphone maintains a constant connection to your email server, asking the server “is there mail” and the flow of data causes your battery to drain very quickly. To change it from push to fetch go to Settings>Mail>Accounts>Fetch New data. Turn off Push at the top, scroll to the bottom and choose every 15 minutes under fetch.
